Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, but it can also be the complete opposite for so many people. Since losing my Mum, I’ll be honest, I kind of fell into a state of counting down the days until Christmas was over, rather than being excited about it! I know my mum would have wanted me to get into the happy spirit that the festive season brings and I actively try to do that now each year. If you’re in a similar boat, or you’re having a tough time and feeling down in the dumps, then pop one of my positive presents on your list for Santa this year. Think happy quotes and lots of colour!

The Little Book of Positivity by Kelly Robinson-Key

What an adorable little book this is, and Kelly is such a talented illustrator and poet! The book is filled with short and snappy poems that can act as a little pick-me-up when you’re feeling down, or simply just act as words of wisdom. The poems touch on a range of topics from unleashing your creativity, being yourself, mental health and your dreams/aspirations – there really is something for everyone. Perfect posi prezzie for a stocking filler this year! *book gifted*

Hello Treacle

What a lovely little brand! They have their own website and you can also find them over on Etsy. The owner Amy initially founded Hello Treacle to support women experiencing fertility problems, which is amazing and something I can resonate with if you read my recent post. All her creative gifts spread tons of positivity and here’s a few of my faves:

Ip Dip Design

You can find Ip Dip Design on Etsy. The creator Laura is a graphic designer with a love for all things colourful, which absolutely had me sold! Her gorgeous designs are bound to put a smile on your face!

Silly Loaf

Silly Loaf is a brand by Sophie, a fellow Leeds lass (okay, I’m an honorary one but I feel part of the furniture now!). Her brand is for lovers of tea and rainbows, so it’s a big yes from me. If you read my mood booster post, you’ll know those two things definitely perk me right up.

Oh, Laura

If you don’t follow Laura on Instagram, then where have you been? Laura is another Yorkshire based gal who is absolutely insane at what she does. She’s a fantastic designer and her sassy slogans always put a smile on my face when they pop up on my feed. I love supporting small businesses and Oh, Laura is up there as one of my favourites I’ve found!

Rock on Ruby

Bored of me ranting about Rock on Ruby? Well, tough! Who wouldn’t want to rant and rave about a brand that unleashes your inner diva and makes you feel like you are capable of anything?! As you’ll know if you follow me on Instagram , I am a huge fan of a sassy slogan! I could quite easily spend my entire wage at Rock on Ruby, but instead, I’m gonna pop my faves on here and hope someone sees them and buys them for me this Christmas ha! *mug gifted*

Paper Press Ireland

Another brand that absolutely slays the slogan tee trend – just take all my money already! There’s tons of funny, sassy slogans to choose from but here’s three of my faves: ( If ever a tshirt summed me right up, its that first one!)

Just me clothing

I’ve been following Gabrielle for a while and I just love the message her brand gives out. She’s all about body positivity and making us ladies feel worthy – so if you’re struggling a little in that department then head over to her Etsy page and check her out!

What’s even more great about all of the brands I’ve mentioned is that they’re small businesses! If you like hearing about small businesses, take a read of this post for a showcase of some more lovely brands I’ve discovered.

Such a lovely read. My mum has been having a bad time lately and I’ve been really unsure of what to buy her for Christmas as as a result. You’ve inspired me to seek gifts that spark a bit more positivity to cheer her up.

I love all of these positive gift ideas! Sometimes, it can be as simple as giving them something with a message that brightens their mood. I love all of these options – big plus that they’re small shops! Thanks for sharing!
